Dr.
Abdullah K. Assaf
Dr. Khalil Al-Ziq is
a Professor of Physics at the Department of Physics at KFUPM. Dr. Al-Ziq
obtained his BSc. from the University of Jordan and his Ms. and PhD, from
University of Illinois, Chicago. In 1997, he spent one year at Iowa State
University, and Ames Lab as a Visiting Scientist where he became visiting
associate at Ames Lab for the following two years. The area of research
expertise includes Superconductivity and Magnetism, Giant magnetoresistance,
Glasses and Spin-Glasses. Dr. Al-Ziq has supervised several PhD and Master
Students and has published about 80 articles in refereed journals and in

Dr. Abdullah K.
Assaf received his MA in 1986 from Aleppo University and his PhD in 1989
from Aleppo University. He is an Associate Professor of Modern Arabic
Literature, and author of 17 research papers. Current research interests:
modern Arabic poetry, theater, novels, and science. He also contributes a
